Storytelling is EmeraldSwirl's main passion. It has been writing since first grade, and by 2024 its skills are finally becoming presentable. It has made its debut in English prose with «Satisfactory» at the end of 2023.
The majority of cards on this page represent WIPs, some are just announcements. Yuni is currently prioritizing work on «Gay Aunt Jane’s Fire and Brimstone Therapy Session» and «Between the Chapters».
Satisfactory
As a child she was destined for greatness, but now all that is dust in the wind. As a young adult she is just trying her best to serve science and save lives — but her greatest obstacle at this is her own mind, rigid and unyielding. When saving lives stops being rhetorical and a very real life gets endangered, what will it take for her to stop fearing and spring into action?
A short story, about 50% done. Part 1 of «Results Deemed Inconclusive» (the Haejung trilogy). High priority for completion.
Gay Aunt Jane’s Fire and Brimstone Therapy Session
They’ve been a hero so many times, they became used to it. Flashy standoffs where good triumphs over evil, and it’s always clear what to do, and it’s always worth it. Real life is different, though. They aren’t sure they’re made for university, but they have to graduate, no matter how much trauma it entails. At least they have friends to help them. And many others who are going through the same.
A short story in the active planning stage. Part 1 of the Owl tetralogy.
First draft written for NaNoWriMo 2023.

In the depths of the Universal Library, the compendium of all messages shared between conscious minds, a lost soul toils its days in misery. Until one day a door that was supposed to stay closed forever opens and lets out a charming stranger — and a quest in search of identity, lost memories and happiness begins.
Started in 2018. 5 pages finished out of 18 for the 1st Intermedium. High priority for completion.
Crime and Neko-chan
A Pokémon fanfic, currently in early planning.
Civil unrest billows in an ancient city that suffers in the grasp of corrupt know-nothings, and the opposition has a charming, charismatic person beloved by all as their new leader. But somebody wasn’t afraid of murder, and now it’s up to an eleven year old Pokémon trainer and her brother to untangle the threads of the killer's motivation and figure out what secrets exactly this charming young man was hiding.
At the periphery of senses
Devin was a normal teenager: a good student and a good friend, interested in mundanities like music, games and bullying his peers… until something invisible broke at one point, and now he’s a shell of his former self, filled only with fear and anguish. What will it mean for him when a ghost of the past steps back into his life, complicating everything thousands of times more? Or did that person really ever leave?..

Your name is Aïde, you’re a young cheetah with a rich imagination and poor communication skills — and life in a small village in the mountains is tough for a kid like you. Every day for you is filled with wonder, but something always sours the mood. If only someone could come down in a blue helicopter and save you, if only there was a magical cure that would make people love you! Well, maybe there is?..
An interactive comic, started in 2019. 3 pages currently exist.
How About We Play
Yes, in the past Ethel has been known for saving entire worlds from supervillains and even being a villain herself, but now that life is beneath her. Now she has a normal job and finally lives in a simple apartment that’s her own (well, rented). This 5:2 rhythm is nice for a change. Tough, but nice. She’s felt a lot worse, after all. And no, she doesn’t need an old friend to come and drag her onto another adventure. Nuh-uh.
